With customer demand for medical and mobility products growing 20% YoY, eBay UK have introduced a brand new Independent Living hub on site to help Brits make small changes that make a big difference, both in and outside the home.
The new Independent Living hub has been launched ahead of Disabled Access Day on the 16th of March, to aid those who struggle to find the essential day-to-day items that improve their quality of life, by creating a central hub where they can search via a single platform as opposed to multiple retailers or specialist outlets.
With 1.3 million buyers shopping from the medical and mobility category in 2018, the dedicated hub has already attracted well-known brands such as Tena, Drive and Omron. And with one in four people in the UK living with a physical or mental disability, eBay UK will also look to grow the selection of inventory based on customers’ needs and requirements over the next 12 months.
Current Independent Living product categories are also designed to offer simple solutions for making the home feel safer, with everything from wheelchairs and daily living aids, to orthopaedic products and mobility fixtures.
From a seller perspective it’s hard not to like the Independent Living hub – if it’s better showcases the range of medical and mobility products on eBay and that results in an increase in sales then that’s a big plus.
