No primary category set

This year, for the first time I’ll be attending Retail Week Live 2019 on the 27th-28th of March 2019 at InterContinental London-The O2. I’m looking forward to attending retail’s leading think tank which brings together like-minded individuals to share inspiration and knowledge. There, I will learn first-hand from more than 150 speakers across retail about the challenges and opportunities of omnichannel retailing, and catch up on networking. Here are some of the panels I look forward to attending.

How to turn Amazon’s dominance into your biggest opportunity

I’m particularly excited about attending a panel talk featuring speakers including David Grimes, founder and CEO of Sorted, Miriam Lahage, CEO of Figleaves, Morgan Fowles, COO of Spoke London and Peter Pritchard, Group CEO of Pets at Home Group. The panel ‘How to turn Amazon’s dominance into your biggest opportunity’ will begin at 12:00 at the Main Stage. David will look into the biggest opportunities of British retail, and how can Amazon’s dominance drive us to steer new strategies and innovations. I’m keen on learning about the opportunities for merchants rather hurdles of growing their business, and innovating at the same rate as Amazon.

The evolution of the marketplace and their impact on future retail

Matt Coode, partner and international head of retail of OC&C Strategy will take the stage at 10:50 at Stage one to consider the dual role of a marketplace as a retailer and a host. In his keynote address, he will focus on the growth of marketplaces and their impact on future retail by analysing old and new entrants. He will also explore the implications for the wider retail market and how can sellers achieve ROI in this space.

Automation and the future of work

I’ll be heading down to the Stage One to listen to a keynote hosted by Charles Radclyffe, innovation specialist,of Digital Ethicist. In this talk, he will consider the automation of human jobs and its impact on the work sector. Daniel will be addressing questions such as; what jobs functions are already being replaced by machines, what tools are they being replaced with, and how is this changing operating models as well as how are organisations managing the transition.

Above all, I’m excited about leaning more about the marketplace industry, and networking with speakers and retailers. Register here fore the event.
