The 2019 eBay Shine Awards are now open for submissions from US sellers with a chance to win $15,000, a VIP trip to eBay Open and an additional $10,000 donation to a nonprofit of their choice.
The Shine Awards are designed to bring out some of the fantastic stories eBay sellers have to relate about their businesses and shine a light on all they’ve accomplished. Sellers can win $15,000, a VIP trip to eBay Open 2019, support to help them grow their business, and additional rewards like heightened visibility, exclusive access to eBay executives and new community connections. What’s more, eBay for Charity will make a $10,000 donation in the grand prize winner’s name to a nonprofit organization of their choice that supports small business growth and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Applications will be accepted from today until the 15th of May, 2019 at ebayopen.com/shineawards. Between the 15th of July – the 25th of July 2019, the eBay community will be able to vote for eBay’s Small Business of the Year winner from the eight inspirational winners. This seller will be the recipient of the Seller’s Choice grand prize award. eBay will celebrate all winners and announce eBay’s Small Business of the Year winner in Las Vegas at this year’s eBay Open, on the 23rd to 25th of July 2019.
2019 eBay Shine Awards Judging Criteria
Knowing what you will be judged on is half way to winning the 2019 eBay Shine Awards, so you’ll want to ensure your story ticks all of the boxes – a fifth of the points are awarded for each of the five judging criteria:
- Originality (20% of total score)
- Clarity of Expression (20% of total score)
- Passion for selling on eBay (20% of total score)
- Embodiment of eBay’s core seller values (20% of total score)
- Degree to which eBay has contributed to the success of the business (20% of total score)
