Following on from the Round Table hosted by GFS, several of the attendees expressed interest in seeing how a large scale professionally run warehouse operates. With that in mind we are organising a Tamebay warehouse visit to GFS in Berkshire on the 2nd of May. The visit will include a tour and operational overview of the GFS fulfilment site in Newbury. Please let us know if you would like to attend.
We’ll start off with a guided tour led by Anita Boessl, GFS Director of Fulfilment and then head upstairs for some coffee and a demo of GFS Selector (the multi-labelling platform) that is used in the warehouse which is an integral part of the GFS software suite.
There’ll be time to chat with other Tamebay Readers over a light lunch and of course have any questions you still have answered by GFS senior staff.
The aim of this tour is to give scaling retailers an insight into how their own warehouse and fulfilment operations can grow and be improved for the future. You will most likely be a retailer already shipping a significant number of items per day and growing your business to in excess of £1m in order to get the most out of this visit.
You’ll need to get to GFS in Newbury on the 2nd of May at 10am and there is parking onsite. For those coming by train, Newbury Station is a short taxi ride away or it’s no more than a 10 minute walk from Newbury Racecourse Station.
Whilst this Tamebay Warehouse visit is totally free and open to all, places are limited so please email us if you are interested in coming along.
