eBay UK are today announcing a promotion where you’ll get 30% off Final Value fees if you set up eBay Multi-buy promotions . The promotion is being sent to selected sellers today.
The eBay Multi-buy promotions incentive is running from the 28th of May to the 30th of June. It gives invited sellers a 30% discount on Final Value fees on any multi-quantity sales made with the help of Multi-buy on listings, including those with variations
eBay say that their tests show that adopting Multi-buy could provide a 23% uplift on eligible listings and increase the number of items in a single order. Their new new updates to the tool mean that sellers can now use Multi-buy discounts on listings with variations of the same item (such as colour and size).
If you’re invited and want to take advantage of this promotion then you will need to activate the promotion in your account on or before the 2nd of June.
If you are offering eBay Multi-buy promotions, it makes sense to offer discounts that are attractive to buyers. On low value items, check the difference in cost to post two items compared to posting a single quantity and you might be surprised just how a large discount you can offer. You can of course set up different eBay Multi-buy promotions campaigns enabling you to offer deeper discounts on products with higher margins and lower discounts where margins are tighter.
It’s worth noting that eBay have only just enabled eBay Multi-buy promotions through the API so many of your larger competitors won’t be using them yet. They’ll be waiting until support is added in their 3rd party multi-channel management solutions. Although you’ll have to log into eBay to set up eBay Multi-buy promotions, there’s a window of opportunity where you’ll be accessing a feature that your competitors aren’t yet using.
