Amazon to stop emailing Amazon invoices

Amazon are to stop sending merchants Amazon invoices via email attachments. From the 20th of May 2019, Amazon will no longer attach a PDF of your Amazon invoices to emails.

You will still of course have full access to records of your financial transactions with Amazon. The only difference will be that you will need to manually choose to download your invoices directly from Seller Central.

Amazon merchants will still receive an email notification when a new invoice becomes available but the invoice won’t be attached to the email as a PDF.

There are likely to be few sellers desperately concerned about having to go online to access their Amazon invoices – after all you are going to have to be online to receive the email so manually clicking into Amazon Seller central to download it is but a matter of seconds.

What it means for Amazon is that their email servers will have a lot less load when millions of emails go out each month as the PDFs will no longer be attached. For merchants it means that your email client will be able to download emails quicker without waiting for the document to be downloaded to your computer – probably only really an issue if you’re still on a slow Internet connection.

You’ll see a notification confirming the change to how Amazon Invoices are to be issued in Seller Central headlines.
