Day dreaming while driving and want to add something to your shopping list? Firstly don’t day dream while driving but now you can add to your shopping list, track your parcels and access host of other features such as your favourite music through Amazon Alexa in your car. Amazon Alexa is now available on select BMW and MINI vehicles right here in the UK.
Customers with compatible vehicles simply need to download the latest version of the BMW Connected or MINI Connected app for iOS, ensure they’re subscribed to the Connected Voice Services package, and link your Amazon account to get started. (Sorry for Android uses, BMW and Mini don’t cater for you.)
Once connected, customers can start interacting with Alexa in their BMW or MINI: Play music, check the news, add things to your shopping list, control smart home devices, and access tens of thousands of Alexa skills.
Alexa will be available on select BMW and MINI vehicles produced after November 2018 and running iDrive 5 or iDrive 6 software. To learn more and check vehicle compatibility, visit the BMW Connected Voice Services page or the MINI Connected page.
