The Ecommerce Cup 2019 Group Stage Draw

No primary category set

With the England women’s national football team having beaten the Scots in the first game of the Women’s World Cup, you might think there’s no football worth watching until they play again on Friday. Not so, this Thursday the 13th of June sees THE football tournament of the year as The Ecommerce Cup 2019 gets under way, with the most hotly contested trophy in the online world due to be presented that evening.

The Ecommerce Cup 2019 Draw has been made (not by us, but by the professionals at PlayFootball) and with 42 teams entered in the tournament we’ll be using all 10 pitches in the group stages. 42 doesn’t divide by 10 very well, so two groups will have 5 teams with the other 8 comprising of 4. To balance this, the groups of 5 will have slightly shorter matches to ensure everyone gets the same length of time on the pitch – don’t think because you’re in a group of 4 that you’ll have fresher legs by the time we get to the last 16 stage!
