DPD have appointed Dropless, an eco-friendly start up car wash company who will be responsible for ensuring the fleet vehicles at DPD’s all-electric Westminster parcel depot remain spotless.
DPD Westminster was the UK’s first all-electric parcel depot and is part of a network of zero-emission DPD micro depots in London. They use a fleet of electric trucks, vans and micro-vehicles for both incoming parcels, and last-mile deliveries, to provide a completely emission-free service.
Now DPD has gone the extra mile in committing to its environmental goals, by appointing Dropless as its new fleet washing partner at Westminster. Dropless uses electric mopeds and electric bikes to get to its clients’ vehicles, and offers a water-free vehicle cleaning service, saving up to 300 litres of water for every vehicle washed. Their innovative water-free cleaning solution also prevents any run-off waste water, helping to preserve the local environment.
