The eBay for Business Awards, eBay’s annual nationwide competition to find and celebrate the most successful and inspiring seller stars from its community of 200,000 British small businesses, has announced a the 2019 Judging Panel, including eBay millionaires, previous winners and Prince’s Trust.

Elaine Edwards, Families and Babies

Having struggled to find support as a new mum, Elaine set up family support service Families and Babies in 2002. Six years later, she decided to convert the non-profit organisation to charity status to begin fundraising to help families across the UK. By selling through eBay for Charity, the business has raised £15,000 in donations to date. Elaine will add significant value to the panel having won The Charity Award and The Grand Prize last year.

Rob Hattrell, Vice President at eBay UK

Both of Rob’s grandfathers were entrepreneurs and enabling entrepreneurship and shining a light on 200,000 UK small businesses at the heart of eBay is one of Rob’s main priorities as head of the UK organisation. He’s passionate about celebrating the success and ambition of the sellers.

Murray Lambell, Vice President of Trading at eBay UK

Murray uses his decade of experience with eBay buyers and sellers, across multiple markets, to unlock opportunities for businesses to trade. Murray’s insight on how sellers keep up with the ever-changing needs of consumers will be invaluable on the panel.

Tara Leathers, The Prince’s Trust

Tara has worked at The Prince’s Trust since 2005, first as a volunteer and then in the Corporate Partnerships team. She returned to The Prince’s Trust as Director of Fundraising in 2013 having spent two years in Mumbai working as India Development Director for Human Rights Watch. Tara’s expertise will shine through in this year’s new eBay for Charity category.

Jade Oliver, Heavenly Homes and Gardens

Crowned Career Change Award winner at the eBay for Business Awards 2018, Jade started the business as a way of making some extra money while training to be a solicitor. As the business grew and grew, Jade committed herself to being a full-time eBay-er. With a turnover of £100,000 a year, she now sells 2,500 lines of homewares to customers including fashion designers and film production sets such as Games of Thrones and The Crown.

Tom Schott, Schott Packaging

eBay millionaire and winner of The Growth Engine Award at the eBay for Business Awards 2018, Tom’s business started as a small family run removal company located in the North East of England. His entrepreneurial ambition led him to go online and the business now sells a wide range of packaging materials to both consumer and business customers all over the world with a turnover of more than £1 million a year.
