Pavilion Broadway and the ultimate 360° photography studio

No primary category set

Designer furniture retailer, Pavilion Broadway, is set to reveal their first-ever professional 360° photography studio and without a doubt it’s impressive.

Few online retailers will have either the space or the finances for a 360° photography studio on the scale of Pavilion Broadway’s, but one important lesson is that to get consistent superb lighting a dedicated space is needed. It’s only when a dedicated photography studio is available (which for small sellers may simply be a light box in a corner of the room) that you can be certain every product shot will be as good as the last.

Pavilion Broadway have invested £50,000 in their specialist workspace which will be dedicated to taking high resolution and high-quality images using cutting-edge 360° photography studio technology. As consumer trends continue to focus on the ever-growing dominance of online retail, Pavilion Broadway’s photography studio will provide an online shopping experience for the company like never before. Unique product shots and lifestyle imagery will enable customers to browse products on the website as if they were viewing them in-store. The project is set for completion this month.

The photography studio has been built with state-of-the-art camera and lighting equipment, including a 5-metre turntable to create a series of exceptional, high-quality images. Situated within a newly renovated area of Pavilion Broadway’s 25,000 sq/ft warehouse, the suite is placed in prime location for new products to be professionally photographed from the moment they arrive. The turntable will offer a complete 360° digital visualisation of products, giving customers the ability to view furniture items from every angle available at spectacular levels of detail. The photography studio is the core project within a larger investment including moving to a specialist Content Delivery Network (CDN). This fast, high performance platform focuses on better serving Pavilion Broadway customers and making the website more accessible to users anywhere in the world with stunning high resolution product imagery in order to make informed purchasing decisions.

This innovative technological advancement is a first for Pavilion Broadway, seeing their newest and most popular products brought to life in exclusive photography. Following the launch of their trade arm of the company in February 2019, the introduction of a professional photography studio marks a major step forward for this family-run business, demonstrating Pavilion Broadway’s extent of growth and recognition as a distinguished brand. Over the past 11 years, Pavilion Broadway has seen their boutique furniture shop in the picturesque Cotswold village of Broadway expand into a fully-fledged designer furniture and interior design business. As one of the few independently owned retailers in the UK to invest in this type of cutting-edge technology, Pavilion Broadway is demonstrating a significant advancement in online customer experience, set to change the game within the furniture and interior design industry.

“As a family-run business, it’s a particularly exciting time for Pavilion Broadway. The photo studio marks the first of many investments we are making to improve our customer experience digitally. We have confidence that the photo studio will set us apart from other retailers as we will now have the ability to provide unique, high-quality product imagery. Not only will this strengthen our online customer journey, but we will also have the capacity to offer a greater online catalogue of exclusive products, matched with spectacular one of a kind photography.”
– David Ewart, Managing Director, Pavilion Broadway

First examples of new photography will be visible on the the Pavilion Broadway website from the beginning of August.

  1. must be
lots of dosh in flogging sofas
to fork out that amount of dosh on photography

  2. I would love a set up like that! Serious equipment. You do need to represent high value items as best as possible unless the brand does it for you i.e Apple, Sony.

  3. no amount of high end photography, could replicate the feel or enhance the customer experience of actually sitting on a sofa
