Last chance to Send Offers to Buyers with 30% off eBay fees

No primary category set

If you opted into the 30% off eBay Final Value Fees Promotion announced in the last seller release, you have just a few days left to Send Offers to Buyers and benefit from the lower fees.

You needed to opt into the promotion by the 14th of September and if you have then you can receive the discounts on your fees but they end this week on the 4th of October. Hopefully you already created new campaigns using Multi-buy, Order Discount, or Sale Event + Markdown but if you haven’t there’s still a couple of days left. Your savings will be returned to you as a credit within 60 days from the end of the promotional period.

The best eBay Final Value Fees Promotion to take advantage of over the next few days is Send Offers to Buyers. Mainly as it’s quick, simple and likely to get a quick result. All you have to do is check which of your items you have buyers watching and send them an offer. It’s similar to Best Offer but instead of the buyer making an offer to you, you can make an offer to the buyer specifying which price you’d be willing to accept.

Send Offers to Buyers is an eBay promotion tool that you should be using regularly, especially now that there are tools within Seller Hub to streamline the sending of offers. You are effectively sending offers to buyers who are already interested in your item – they’ve viewed it, they’ve added it to their watch list, they may or may not purchase so a targeted offer could be the convincer they need to complete a purchase.

To send an offer to buyers, in your Active listings page in Seller Hub, select “Eligible for offers” on the listings of your choice. Once you’ve sent an offer, you’ll see “Review offer sent” next to the listing. Buyers who receive the offer will be notified that other watchers can still buy the item and should take advantage while they can. Offers you send will expire after 48 hours so there’s a sense of urgency for buyers to complete their purchase.

Reminder – if the buyer accepting your offer originally clicked-through a Promoted Listing you will not know until after the fact, so proceed with margin assumptions accordingly.
