eCommeleon Seed funding round closed – now looking for customers & staff

A successful eCommeleon Seed funding round has kicked off an innovative new SaaS product in the ecommerce space. eCommeleon is an innovative ETL (extract, transform, load) solution combining more than a decade of marketplace know-how with tried-and tested data optimisation modules and pioneering marketplace validation, designed specifically for online retailers and marketplace sellers.

Focused on helping online retailers to map and optimise product data for online sales channels, eCommeleon’s marketplace validation capabilities help to solve one of the largest time constraints facing multi-channel sellers, marketplaces, and listing tools – getting the data online without errors.

As announced in October, eCommeleon is a spin-off of a well-established company, InterCultural Elements, which has been specialised in helping retailers to expand internationally via marketplaces since 2007. Now its own entity, eCommeleon will allow retailers to bring this expertise in-house. eCommeleon combines over 12 years’ worth of expertise with the trust of an already established customer base. This means that investors and customers alike can be confident in the future of this innovative technology.

“For me eCommeleon is very straightforward and easy to understand. I have been using ChannelAdvisor for 5 years, so am experienced in creating product data files for Amazon and other marketplaces. I’m very familiar to this process and feel that eCommeleon is speaking the same ‘language’ as eCommerce retailers and marketplaces. It is easy for me to understand the logic.

I am really excited with what we can do with eCommeleon and how quickly it will allow us to translate and create new listings.”
– Serv Chumber, Managing Director, Kit Me Out Shop

“We see huge scalability and market potential by optimizing and converting product data along the entire data flow, allowing many stakeholders (retailers, marketplaces, brands, etc.) to benefit at the same time. As investors, we’re happy to support building a great SaaS product and strong company which will soon have a global footprint in the eCommerce product data market.”
– Robin Nitsch, Senior Investment Manager, TGFS

“Being able to put the expertise we’ve developed over the last 12 years into a tool for online sellers to use internally will allow us to reach a user base which would never be possible with a services-based company. We’re eager to help more online sellers maximise their sales’ potential on marketplaces than we could ever hope to with a less-scalable agency model”
– Eduard Gerritsen, Co-Founder & Managing Director, InterCultural Elements & eCommeleon

“As with any new start up, the people are what will help turn our dream into a reality. As such, we’ve got a number of great roles available for experienced sales, tech and support staff in the vibrant student city of Leipzig. If you’re reading this and are looking for a change, just get in touch!”
– Jesse Wragg, Co-Founder & Managing Director, eCommeleon
