Amazon Flex Australia launches offering delivery jobs

Amazon Flex, launched in the US in 2015 and then in Birmingham UK in 2016 has now made it to Sydney and Melbourne, with Amazon Flex Australia now recruiting drivers.

Amazon Flex is a delivery service that offers individuals the opportunity to be their own boss and earn extra money in their free time delivering Amazon packages to customers. If you own your own delivery vehicle, you can sign-up, choose delivery blocks that fit your schedule, and deliver packages using the Amazon Flex app.

Drivers simply download the app (from the IOS or Android app store), sign up and complete the background verification process and they are then ready to accept delivery blocks. Delivery blocks are an estimated four hours, during which delivery partners will collect their packages from pick up points in Sydney and Melbourne and deliver them to customers. Amazon Flex Australia offers delivery partners transparency around their earnings. Delivery partners will know the estimated duration and minimum payment for each block in advance, and will receive payments weekly by direct deposit.

Amazon Flex Australia will also enable Amazon to expand its delivery network, ramp up at peak times and ultimately speed up deliveries for customers, while providing a unique opportunity for individuals to further their earning potential whilst fitting in with their lifestyle.

“Amazon Flex puts delivery partners in the driver’s seat, enabling them to earn extra money with the flexibility to choose their own schedule. With visibility of how much they will be paid for a block before they accept it, delivery partners ensure their time on the road is well spent. We are always looking at new ways to deliver convenience to customers. As customer demand and delivery needs continue to grow in Australia, Amazon Flex gives us the agility to supplement the work we do with our existing carrier partners so we can speed up delivery times and respond to peaks in demand. At Amazon we work backwards from the customer and, with our team of innovators, Amazon Flex give us the flexibility over time to unlock customer delivery benefits we haven’t even thought of yet.”
– Craig Fuller, Director of Operations, Amazon Australia

If you’re interested in supplementing your income driving for Amazon, you can apply to become an Amazon Flex driver in Australia, in the UK, or in the US.
