eBay Multi-User Account Access is a new feature coming to the UK, (already seen in the US) that will allow you to delegate access rights to other member accounts to give limited use of your eBay account to both employees and contractors. We don’t have an exact launch date, but in the coming months once live you will be able to access the feature from your eBay account settings in the Permissions section.
Soon, Delegators can look forward to delegating “read only” access for orders as well as the ability to create, edit and publish listings.
There will be no limit to the number of Delegators and Delegatees associated with any eBay account. Please note that once you accept an invitation as Delegatee, you cannot be a Delegator with that account.
Once launched, you’ll be able to access the function from your eBay account settings in the Permissions section. If you are going to work for someone to help manage their eBay account, we would recommend that you open a new account to for your work as a Delegatee. Don’t use your eBay Business account or in the future you will never be able to get other people to work for you.
Opening an eBay account is free and all it needs is an email address, so it would make sense that as a Business you set up a company email address for anyone you wish to work for you and then get your worker to open a new eBay account using their company email address. They can of course use their personal email address and existing email address if they wish to, but using a new account could save issues down the line.
