ChannelAdvisor Connect Europe, the premier UK event for brands and retailers selling on marketplaces and across the web, has been cancelled for 2020 due to the Coronavirus. Fear not however, it will return in the Spring of 2021 when hopefully the pandemic is behind us.
Formerly ChannelAdvisor Catalyst which ran for a decade and morphed in recent years to become ChannelAdvisor Connect Europe, many retailers relied on this conference to shape their ecommerce strategies for the year ahead. In early years Scot Wingo and more recently David Spitz, ChannelAdvisor CEO, have been the highlight of ChannelAdvisor’s annual conference not only updating brands and retailers on the shape of marketplace selling but also shining a beacon on the latest ecommerce developments across everything from social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc), technology (Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Virtual Assistance), Paid Search (both on marketplace such as eBay and Amazon as well as search engines such as Google) and just about every aspect at the cutting edge of ecommerce imaginable.
This year, with ChannelAdvisor Connect Europe not taking place, look out for a ton of online content from ChannelAdvisor to keep your business on track. The first must read article is “The Impact of COVID-19 on E-Commerce GMV” and once you’ve read that visit the ChannelAdvisor COVID-19 Resources for Brands and Retailers for a ton of content to assist you at this difficult time. In the near future there will be more resources including webinars to assist you, whether that be trading through the pandemic or preparing to relaunch your business once it’s safe to do so.
“Our industry has remained robust, our customers rely on us now as much as ever, our financial position has remained strong, and we are prepared to effectively manage through this period. I am confident that this situation, while extremely challenging for everyone, will eventually subside and that we will emerge stronger than ever.
Lastly and most importantly, our hearts go out to anyone who is personally affected by COVID-19, and we thank all of the healthcare workers, first responders, grocery/food workers, warehouse/logistics/distribution employees, and others who are working tirelessly to help everyone in need.”
– David Spitz, CEO, ChannelAdvisor
