Shopify have just introduced their all-new Shopify POS that will help sellers strengthen sales and relaunch or reopen stores into today’s retail environment and hopefully ease current financial pressures brought about by COVID-19 by making it completely free until October 31, 2020.
How Shopify POS helps sellers
- In-store or curbside pick-up options: Sellers will be able to offer customers a safe and convenient way to keep buying from your retail location. Offering a “curbside pickup” lets local customers collect orders securely whilst saving them money on the delivery & helping sellers increase sales.
- Powerful built-in data reporting: Sellers can gain insights into how their business is performing and make informed decisions by looking into daily sales, average order value, and average number of items per order across every store.
- Free up cash flow with smart inventory management: Pinpoint top-selling products and move inventory fast to ease cash flow constraints. Sellers will also be able to bundle or discount slow-moving products to ease unnecessary inventory costs.
- Flexibly and personalization: Sellers can adapt their point-of-sale to their businesses’ specific needs. Shopify POS customizable smart grids let sellers spotlight the apps, discounts, and workflows your staff use most often right from the home screen. Sellers can also extend the functionality of Shopify POS with a range of useful apps as their businesses grow.
- User-friendly interface: Sellers can quickly locate everything they need through a user-friendly omnichannel search, which highlights only the most relevant results.
- Set personalized Staff permissions: Sellers will be able to securely set staff roles and permissions, especially helpful for businesses and retailers with a large or growing staff count.
- Ship to customer: Sellers can search for and sell products from any of their stores or warehouses and ship them directly to your customer’s doorstep. Carrier shipping rates are automatically calculated to keep checkout fast and simple.
- Create personalized shopping experiences: Sellers can reach any new contacts created in-store with relevant reminders and marketing campaigns. That includes special discount offers or sneak previews of new products, which can encourage repeat purchases. Store staff will also be able to personalize shopping experiences with quick access to notes, tags, lifetime spend, and past orders that happened in your online store.
