Amazon are launching a Wine, Beer and Spirits store today in you guessed it, Australia. The store will feature some of Australia’s emerging local brands such as Curatif Cocktails, SOFI Spritz and Lawrenny Estate, alongside well-known brands including Penfolds, VB, and Johnnie Walker.
“Curatif is thrilled to be in the first wave of Australian liquor companies to launch on Amazon Australia. We are so excited that we’ve decided to make our latest ready-to-serve creation exclusive to Amazon.com.au – the Curatif Plantation Rum Pineapple Daiquiri.”
– Matt Sanger, Co-founder of Curatif
125 million items are already available on Amazon.com.au and their new alcoholic ventures will open up more possibilities for a wider variety of brands and sellers who now have access to their very own alchohol dedicated store. Many global merchants are selling alcohol from their individual, quirky stores and websites, but being able to bring their products to a hugely popular marketplace in a dedicated way is sure to see success for all involved. If Amazon were to expand this opportunity to other parts of the world merchants will benefit from a wider audience which will help their businesses flourish.
“We’re excited to bring customers our new Wine, Beer and Spirits store, featuring a range of much loved local and international brands. Customers will be able to experience the convenience of ordering their favourite wine, beer or spirits alongside all the other products available on Amazon.com.au from household essentials, fashion and beauty, through to video games and books.”
– Matt Furlong, Amazon Australia Country Manager
