How to get 0% final values fees on eBay.com

Yes, if you are a US seller on eBay.com in the US then it is now possible to get 0% final values fees on eBay.com. It’s a wrinkle where they are now allowing you to drive affiliate traffic to your own eBay listings and if you are responsible for driving the buyer who purchases one of your items to eBay then you’ll pay 0% final value fees on eBay.com…. sadly so far as we’re aware it’s not yet available on other eBay sites.

The eBay Partner Network is eBay’s affiliate marketing program and this is where you need to sign up to earn money by driving traffic to eBay. By signing up and sharing your listings outside of eBay, you can increase your earnings, diversify your revenue streams and, the best part even get a credit for your final value fees when you share your item and it sells resulting in 0% final values fees on eBay.com.

  • If you drive traffic to eBay and the buyer completes a Qualifying Transaction on one of your items, you’ll receive a commission and an incentive credit to offset your final value fee for that sale.
  • For all other Qualifying Transactions (i.e. transactions resulting in a purchase from any other eBay seller), you can earn commissions up to 6% of the item sale price.

You can share links from the eBay Partner Network anywhere you like – your own website, your social media channels, blogs and forums…. just not on eBay itself. Obviously eBay don’t want to pay you for sales from buyers already on your listings, in your eBay shop, reading eBay community forums etc so don’t post your affiliate links there. Anywhere that’s not an eBay property however is fair game although you should generally own or control the sites you post on or have an account which enables you to post – don’t become a spammer!

The eBay Partner Network provides a “Transaction Detail Report” (TDR) that indicates on which transactions you earned commissions. You can identify the listings that earned you the 0% final value fee incentive credit by comparing the TDR with your sales data for the same timeframe. Simply map your “Item ID”, and “eBay Checkout Transaction ID” from the TDR to your eBay orders report to identify these transactions.

So, in a nutshell, sign up for the eBay Partner Network, drive traffic to eBay.com and get paid for qualifying transactions. And if you then drive traffic to your own listings and get sales where you found the buyer and sent them to eBay then you’ll get paid the commission plus the Seller incentive credit resulting in 0% final values fees on eBay.com.

Full details available on the eBay Partner Network here and Seller Incentive Credit are available here.

  1. Interesting.
Perhaps is it not better to say just build out your own channel (e.g. website, then PPC that?) & use the promote your listing for now.

Looking at ecommercebytes, this whole eBay affiliate operational seems to be on the way out / considerable reduction (last-minute / temp promo on these are helpful for the people who are already affiliates / but that’s perhaps not a basis to build a product on in 2020; perhaps it’s targeting a niche crowd, even more, niche the ones where they have both the affiliate product & sell the same items).
