It has been announced that Zalando are expanding the special offer they recently introduced to their ‘get online’ program, Connected Retail to Poland, Sweden and Spain. The waived commission fees and shortened payout cycles were introduced to Germany and the Netherlands in April and were temporarily introduced to the program which offers brick-and-mortar stores support in moving onto the Zalando platform. Zalando recognized that putting in further support measures would ensure businesses could cope throughout the COVID-19 crisis and continue their easy transition onto the marketplace. Zalando state they have decided to extend the program until the end of the year and waive commissions for two, respectively three months for new partners and continue with weekly payouts for all existing and new partners until the end of 2020.

Zalando launched its Connected Retail Program in 2016 and was made available to any retailer and brand with a physical store selling stock relevant to Zalando’s assortment. Zalando provides online content, payment services, customer care, and dedicated support through a personal account manager and proprietary order management software to those who sell on their site.
