UPS have announced that they are partnering with Global Brand Inc., professionals in ecommerce consultancy to help SMBs in Japan reach more customers overseas on the worlds leading online marketplaces.

The collaboration is said to merge the extensive ecommerce knowledge of Global Brand Inc. with the cross-border logistical expertise of UPS to create ample opportunity for growth and expansion for SMB’s in Japan. Global Brand is already out there supporting lots of Japanese brands and businesses who want to start selling overseas and providing an international reach can be groundbreaking for many.

UPS research shows that 96% of consumers are regulars on online marketplaces and that cross-border online sales are expected to make up more than 20% of global e-commerce by 2022 showing how vital enabling seamless cross-border ecommerse is.

“The vast majority of businesses in Japan are small and medium-sized, so when we consider the speed at which e-commerce is developing, and that global cross-border e-commerce sales are expected to be worth $1 trillion this year, there is huge growth potential in this sector for Japanese companies,”

“This partnership with Global Brand Inc. is particularly beneficial to SMBs whose resources are often more limited than those of large companies. Online sellers can tap into UPS’s smart global logistics network for reliable international door-to-door delivery and value-added services including delivery solutions such as UPS My Choice that improve customer experience by providing end users the choice and control over how and where they want to receive their package. Passing all this heavy lifting over to UPS means our customers can then spend more time growing their business.”
