Bigger already established marketplaces who host third party sellers will have to watch their backs as more competition appears around the world. Right now ecommerce is at an all time high and businesses are doing what they can to create and maintain a healthy online presence, clearly, brands are doing well to open up doors for said sellers but this also means a lot more competitors will be in the mix.
Kroger ship will Initially offer over 50,000 additional items across multiple categories, including natural and organic, international food, specialty items, housewares and toys and orders will earn consumers loyalty rewards giving a great incentive to shop on their platform.
“The expansion of our Kroger Ship platform will continue to bring together our industry-leading customer insights and merchandising data to offer our customers a digital shopping experience that includes staples available in our physical stores as well as products that are exclusive to Kroger.com. As part of our continuing transformation, we look forward to accelerating the development of our e-commerce platform and providing our customers with even more choices.”
