New Less Than Truckload service for Amazon FBA

No primary category set

If you are if you are enrolled in FBA, you can now send Less than Truckload shipments through the Amazon Partnered Carrier Programme. The new service is currently available in the UK and Germany.

Less Than Truckload or Full Truckload shipments shipment means pallet delivery as an alternative to small parcel deliveries where each box is individually labelled for delivery. With Less Than Truckload you can combine boxes onto a single pallet and they are then normally shipped with either UPS Freight or Kuehne + Nagel.

You can also now ship pallets to fulfilment centres in UK, Spain, France and Germany via the Amazon Partnered Carrier Programme with, they say, deeply discounted rates. You can estimate shipping charges, make payments and track PCP shipments directly from the carrier’s website and Seller Central. Shipping charges are dependent on the dimensions and weight of the parcels or pallets, the dispatch address and the destination fulfilment centre. The estimated cost of these charges will be subject to adjustment if the actual weight and/or dimensions of the shipment is different from the weight and/or dimensions provided by you.

You can access the Amazon Partnered Carrier Programme feature for Less than Truckload by going to your created shipment, selecting Work on Shipment, Less than Truckload and Partnered Carrier Programme. You will then be able to view the calculated fees for this service in step four of the Prepare Shipment process and select a ready date.

  1. This is service is useless, we trialed it with 3 shipments and the communication from both Amazon and UPS was terrible.

We have stopped using it and reverted back to our standard carrier.

In theory, it would be good service, but there are major teething problems.
