It’s Amazon Prime Day 2020 (at last)

No primary category set

Three months later than usual it’s Amazon Prime Day 2020 today (and tomorrow as it’s now a two day shopping feast instead of one). Delayed due to the pandemic, Amazon are probably hoping that Prime Day will be the start of the holiday shopping season and drag some sales forward to ease the strain on couriers nearer to Christmas. In just a couple of weeks the early Black Friday Deals will start running for three weeks before the main Black Friday event so, even if you are normally a last minute shopper, this year might be the year to start your Christmas gift shopping early.

This past weekend to celebrate Amazon Prime Day 2020, Amazon hosted a star-studded live streamed event featuring chart-topping artist Lewis Capaldi, BBC Sound of 2020 winner and Amazon Music Ones To Watch 2020 artist Celeste, and Welsh artist and producer Cate Le Bon for ‘Prime Day Live’, who each returned to a small scale venue to give a special ‘behind closed doors’ performance in support of the Music Venue Trust, alongside show host and broadcaster, Gemma Cairney.

Today it’s the turn of shoppers and Prime members have exclusive access to more than one million deals globally on everything they need and love, including the most popular, beloved brands and must-have festive gifts across every category from toys, electronics, fashion, Amazon Devices.

But it’s not all about Amazon Devices on Amazon Prime Day 2020, you can also support small businesses this Prime Day by shopping deals featured in the Support Small Storefront, on Amazon Handmade and Amazon Launchpad. More than half of the items sold on Amazon worldwide are from third-party sellers – mostly small and medium-sized businesses. This year, Prime members around the globe can shop hundreds of thousands of Prime Day deals from these entrepreneurs and if you purchased from a small business in the run up to Prime Day don’t forget you’ll have a £10 voucher which you can spend on anything on Amazon today – why not support another small business?

“Giving customers a great reason to shop with small brands like ours with the incentive of the £10 promotion has been a big sales driver for us in the build up to Prime Day 2020. Having our handmade products sit right alongside the big name brands elevates us to new heights, and means that so many more people can discover our small business and what we have to offer.”

  1. Am I missing something here ?

All the half decent deals seem to be sold by amazon are prime only !

As a third party seller you need to pay £60 or so jump threw hoops , pay FBA fees and accept the crazy returns as well as sell for basically nothing.

The only winners seem to be Amazon, prime memebrs and people who want to buy from third party sellers which seem to be Chinese fake brands.

    What am I missing?
