Charities have had it tough this year and once again many charity high street shops have been forced to close. That’s not stopping Heart Research UK from finding ways to raise money so they’ve launched an anonymous heART project on eBay.
Heart Research UK have recruited some of the biggest names across entertainment and the arts, including Joe Lycett, Robert Smith (The Cure), Ashley Jackson and Ralph Steadman who have between them created almost 500 pieces of limited edition A5 artwork which you can bid for today on eBay.
The catch, well you won’t know who created the art you’re bidding on unless you win the auction hence the tag anonymous heART! Although the list of creators is available to all bidders, the artist of each individual piece will be kept anonymous until after the auction is over. Could you pick up a hidden gem for a bargain price?
Looking at the bids, some anonymous heART pieces still have bids as low as £2.50 plus £3 postage so you really could snag a one of a kind piece. Others have already shot up to over two grand, although one stand out piece titled ‘Real Donald Trump‘ is well worth a look even if you’re not going to bid.
The auctions are already live and run until Sunday evening (15th of November).
With contributors ranging from trend-setting artists and designers to chart topping singers and award winning comedians, you won’t be short of variety to choose from. Get a Christmas gift with a difference this year and help fund Heart Research UK’s pioneering medical research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.
“The anonymous heART project is one of the most exciting campaigns Heart Research UK has ever run. The quantity and quality of the artwork that we have received from artists, designers and celebrities all over the world has been astounding.
At Heart Research UK, we’re always looking for fun and interesting ways to raise money. The anonymous heART project allows people to support ground-breaking medical research but also get a little something back, owning their own mini-masterpiece created by an artist or celeb.
What makes this project so special is that everyone has the chance to own a piece of iconic art that would make the perfect surprise Christmas present!”
All of the money we raise will help us continue our pioneering medical research, helping us benefit patients as soon as possible.”
