notonthehighstreet launch ‘Magic of Small Things’ Christmas ad

No primary category set

notonthehighstreet have released their first Christmas advertisement in three years after having an amazingly strong year with consumers focusing more on supporting small and local businesses during the pandemic.

The Advert highlights the beauty of small businesses and the crafters who run them with with a gentle but powerful call-to-arms that reminds us of what Christmas is all about. The focus is on the comforting and personal magic of the holidays for those who receive handmade gifts and those who create them, perfect for a marketplace specializing in gifts with a personal touch, something that is growing in importance since the pandemic began.

The advertisement will initially run for a month and the company’s #TheMagicOfSmallThings campaign has been extended across every marketing channel throughout the festive season; with a series of onsite, paid, social and PR initiatives that draw the campaign together across multiple consumer touchpoints, and drive focus on the importance of continuing to support small businesses.

“We’ve been supporting small businesses since 2006, but this year has been like no other in our history. We’ve long been the number one destination for thoughtful, unique gifts that you can’t find anywhere else, but this year we’ve seen a huge groundswell in consumers choosing to shop small for more than just gifts.

“More than ever consumers are focused on the small things that really matter whether that’s showing a loved one you’re thinking of them, cherishing a cosy moment at home, or choosing to buy from a small business for whom every sale counts. We know it’s this sentiment that will carry the spirit of Christmas in 2020, which is why we’ve chosen to celebrate the magic of those small things in our TV offering this year.”
