As the US prepares to sit down for their Thanksgiving turkey, some will still be working hard and this year that includes Amazon engineers as a raft of Seller Central Amazon glitches and AWS problems affect the marketplace.

A seller, with an inventory feed from their website to Amazon which updates automatically every hour, noticed yesterday that there was a queue of 10 files. These are just quantity updates so usually very quick and the response from Amazon support was that it “can take up to 24 hours”… but even Amazon help files state a maximum of 8 hours for updates to process.
As sellers prepared for Black Friday they reported that they couldn’t list new inventory, or get seller central to remember stock adjustments – critical at this time of year.
Sellers are also reporting overselling as out of date feeds are starting to be processed with greater inventory quantities than their latest feed. Others haven’t been able to do a stock update since yesterday afternoon.
The questions sellers are now starting to ask is whether Amazon will protect their metrics from over selling and any other issues directly arising from these Seller Central Amazon glitches.
Theses Seller Central Amazon glitches couldn’t come at a worse time as sellers prepare for Black Friday as the nationwide lockdown keeps all English shops shut nd buyers are shopping on Amazon more than ever before.
Probably unrelated, AWS also experienced problems through to 9am this morning.
