WhatsApp has recently announced the introduction of Carts which will make shopping on the app easier. The company recognise that WhatsApp is quickly becoming a hub for communication between sellers and consumers which is why they want to help make buying and selling through the app even easier.

The introduction of carts to WhatsApp will allow merchants to sell multiple items at once, like a local restaurant or clothing store whilst also allowing consumers to browse a catalog of products and request orders through message making keeping track of orders and requests simpler. It will take out the back and forwards between businesses and customers which can quickly become confusing and replaces it with an easy to use feature for all.

“Using carts is easy. Simply find the items you want and tap “add to cart”. Once your cart is complete, send it as a message to the business. More details on using carts can be found here.

Carts are going live around the world today — just in time for the holiday season. Happy shopping on WhatsApp!”

Whatsapp has made various moves directed towards businesses such as WhatsApp for Zendesk which also focused on support seller-customer communications but for a monthly fee. This newest carts integration has been made easily available and accessible to all.
