Avalara are reuniting their Brexit triumvirate of Sam Lowe (Trade), Anna Jerzewska (Customs) and Richard Asquith (VAT) to give you a live Post-Brexit autopsy from the other side of the 31st of December 2020. The focus will be on the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement negotiations, and what you should be doing to keep your goods flowing, customers happy and tax authorities satisfied.

Richard Asquith is VP Global Indirect Tax at Avalara, helping businesses understand their compliance obligations as they grow globally. Richard qualified as an accountant with KPMG in the UK, and went on to work in Hungary, Russia and France with EY.

Sam Lowe

Senior Research Fellow, Centre for European Reform

Sam Lowe is a senior research fellow at the Centre for European Reform. He works on trade issues, with a focus on Brexit, customs and regulatory barriers. Prior to joining the CER, he led work on trade, Brexit and environmental issues for Friends of the Earth and is a co-founder of the UK Trade Forum.

Anna Jerzewska

CEO and founder, Trade and Borders

Dr Anna Jerzewska is the founder and CEO of Trade and Borders, a London and Geneva based customs and international trade consultancy. She has a combination of private sector, policy and academic experience. In recent years her main clients have included the United Nations’ International Trade Centre, British Chambers of Commerce, and assorted private sector firms and governments. She is an Associate Fellow of The UK Trade Policy Observatory (UKTP).
