There’s a new eBay unified listing experience rolling out in the US and available immediately for some sellers. The new re-designed listing experience, which brings more consistency to how you list across devices which means you’ll have the same listing flow regardless of device whether that be laptop, tablet or smartphone.
So what can you expect from the new eBay unified listing experience?
- A streamlined listing experience that’s more consistent across all your devices
- A clean, unified look, and you’ll have just one listing experience
- Built on new technology that will allow eBay to more quickly deliver new features
- Image background removal on desktop (previously only available on mobile)
The new listing experience will be available to some users on eBay.com immediately, and over the next few weeks, eBay will expand this option to all sellers. When you’re eligible to use the new eBay listing flow you’ll see “Try the new listing tool” where you create new listings (as per image above).
Moving forward, the new eBay listing experience will become the default for some sellers starting in February, and for all sellers by Spring. We haven’t yet any dates for when the new listing flow will be available in the UK or on other international sites.
If you don’t use eBay to create your listings there’s good news – the listing fields, item specifics, and integration with third-party listing tools won’t be affected by these updates so you can carry on as normal. But, if you list directly on eBay, when the new experience is made available to you then you’ll get the new features and the same work flow regardless of the device you access eBay with.
