Rebaid reveals how discount or rebate campaigns work

No primary category set

In this guest post today, Rebaid set out how merchants can use their rebate service to attract sales to your marketplace listings. It’s an interesting tactic for boosting your products search ranking:

How discount or rebate campaigns work

As the owner of a brand selling tangible goods, your most critical job is to sell through inventory. Product sitting on shelves can’t be used to pay your rent, utilities or payroll. When launching a new product your goal is to create a popular item that sells many units at a high profit margin. If, or when you have a product that turns out to be a dud, your goal must be to recover your investment and allocate that capital to stronger performing SKU’s.

Rebates vs Discounts

Both of these tasks can be accomplished using promotional offers. When launching a new product, rebates are a highly effective way to generate demand. With this promotion type shoppers purchase your product at full price, then receive a rebate payment sometime thereafter. Discounts on the other hand are a cost effective way to liquidate slow moving or obsolete inventory. This is a great way to turn inventory back to cash.

Get in Front of Tons of Shoppers

Yet just sharing your rebate offer with your existing customer list or adding a discounted price to your product listing is often insufficient to successfully launch or liquidate. By leveraging a deals site like Rebaid you can get your promotional offer in front of hundreds of thousands of shoppers. Shoppers on Rebaid are eager to try new products and find great deals. As soon as your campaign is launched orders will start coming in.

How it Works

Signing up for a Rebaid seller account is easy and free! Once your account is registered you’ll be able to create a discount or rebate campaign. While creating a campaign you’ll be prompted to enter some basic information about your product; description, images ect. You’ll also set a rebate or discount percentage that you would like to offer to shoppers on Rebaid.

Lastly you’ll link your campaign to your product listing. Rebaid supports promotions for products sold on Shopify Stores as well as Amazon, Walmart, eBay and Etsy. If your campaign is for a product listed on a marketplace, you’ll have the option to provide a direct URL link, or SFB (Search, Find, Buy) keywords. If you choose to create an SFB campaign, shoppers will search for your product using the keyword(s) you provide, find it and purchase. This is an effective way to quickly reach the top of the search results for your products relevant keywords.

How Much Does it Cost?

For rebate campaigns where a rebate check is mailed to shoppers who redeem your offer Rebaid charges a $2.95 per redemption fee. This fee is charged at the end of your campaign and is simply $2.95 per order generated through Rebaid.

For discount campaigns there is no cost! Rebaid discount campaigns is a recently released feature and we are proud to offer this campaign type free of charge.
