The Amazon Chinese seller VTR (Valid Tracking Rate) policy went into effect on the 9th of August 2021 for packages shipped directly to customers from China.

Under the Amazon Chinese seller VTR, you are now required to use a shipping service provider that is ship track-integrated with Amazon for all items purchased on Amazon UK. Packages that are shipped directly to customers from China must meet the following requirements:

  • All packages that have a value and shipping fee less than £5 must use a trackable shipping method that includes at least one physical scan by the carrier.
  • All packages that have a value and shipping fee equal to or more than £5 must use a fully trackable shipping method that includes at least two scans, including a delivery scan or delivery attempt.

The Amazon Chinese seller VTR which must be achieved is 95% for all merchant-fulfilled packages shipped from China. To help you understand the new requirements and comply with the policy, Amazon have updated the VTR metrics calculation logic in the dashboard and launched an improved defect report to provide additional information to help you troubleshoot VTR issues.

You can select Account Health from the Performance menu, locate the Shipping Performance section, and then click the Valid Tracking Rate tab to see your VTR metrics. You can download your VTR defect report by clicking Download Report.

Only orders included in your current VTR defect report count against your metrics. If the report contains no orders, it means all of your orders have valid tracking information.
