Woolworths launches Everyday Market in Australia

No primary category set

Woolworths, the largest online grocery retailer in Australia has launched Everyday Market, an online marketplace that will complement the existing grocery range at Woolworths.com.au. The key focus of Everyday Market is aisle extension in the household appliances, baby, toys, pet care, health and beauty categories.

Currently the marketplace has welcomed a small group of partners including BIG W, Healthylife, PetCulture, Designer Bums and Joonya but General Manager, Lance Eberhard, has made it clear that this is only the start. With an aim to double their range of products and aid business growth, we can expect them to continue expanding on this throughout the future.

Initially, Everyday Market was piloted across selected locations in Australia. The positive response from being able to buy a range of items in one place meant the company could confidently take the marketplace national.

Australian customers will now have access to thousands of extra products that are shipped directly to customers by the Everyday Market Partners through their existing delivery arrangements. Customers can select as many items from as many Partners as they want for the one flat $10 shipping fee and there is no minimum spend on orders.

“Millions of customers use our website to shop for food and groceries every week. With Everyday Market, we want to help our customers get more of their everyday needs in the one seamless and convenient online shop.

“We’re starting with a small group of partners and it really is just the beginning. We have ambitions to more than double our online range and offer tens of thousands of new products to our customers over time.”

As well as offering more choice to Woolworths’ online customers, Everyday Market will also provide partner brands with fresh opportunities to grow their business.”

– Lance Eerhard, General Manager, Woolworths
