Temporary rate increase for eBay Australia and New Zealand

In a recent announcement, eBay have said that they are implementing a temporary rate increase for international shipping to Australia and New Zealand due to increases to the cost of international shipping in the two markets.

Despite this being a temporary rate increase, there is no clear estimate on how long they will be in action. The rate changes were made effective on Sunday.

“At eBay, we’re committed to ensuring consistent, reliable delivery to international markets with eBay international standard delivery. Due to increased international shipping costs to Australia and New Zealand, we will temporarily increase rates to these two markets, effective Sunday, October 31, 2021.

While this rate increase is temporary, it will remain in effect until further notice. We will continue to evaluate the best possible ways to continue services to all countries served by our international shipping programs, including those impacted by other service interruptions. And, we will continue to post shipping updates throughout the holiday season.

As always, thank you for selling on eBay.
