Allegro have announced that they are going international across the EU and will be launching their english-language service, allowing European customers and merchants to benefit from EU-wide access to the Allegro marketplace.
This new international expansion will mean customers across the EU will now be able to search and buy merchandise on the marketplace in English and pay in euros, with Allegro helping to handle international deliveries and payments through its partners. Together with the planned purchase of the Mall Group, which operates across Central and Eastern Europe, it solidifies Allegro’s European footprint.
International expansion is a key priority, and as Poland’s most visited online marketplace we are taking another great leap forward on our expansion roadmap. With works on the planned purchase of the Mall Group ongoing, we are strengthening the other pillar of our European presence by widening the access to millions of offers on our platform for EU customers and merchants. European buyers will benefit from Allegro’s focus on choice, price, and no-fuss deliveries, while EU merchants are thus widening the number of potential customers.
– Francois Nuyts, CEO, Allegro
Polish and international merchants are able to offer their products to an EU-wide audience in English. Allegro will support merchants to ensure a frictionless process, taking care of the offers’ translations and providing necessary support for both sides of such transactions before and after the purchase. The platform will also help handle deliveries as well as euro payments together with its partners. Customers can use the allegro.pl site with international setting enabled before the platform launches allegro.com dedicated to the international offer.
