eBay EPR France Pay On Behalf EPR requirements in Spain

Amazon will be legally obliged to suspend your non-compliant German listings under EPR product categories if you are not registered by the deadlines and have EPR tools and partners so that you can show your compliance.

EPR categories for Germany

  • Packaging, both primary (that is product packaging) and secondary (that is shipping packaging) – all listings from the 1st of July 2022
  • Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) – all listings falling under EEE from the 1st of January 2023

Amazon EPR tools and service partners

Amazon have now launched the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Amazon Seller Central Partner Network to help you comply with German EPR laws. In Germany, If you can’t prove your compliance with EPR to Amazon, they will be obliged by law to suspend your non-compliant listings under EPR product categories.

The EPR Amazon Seller Central Partner Network is a group of service providers vetted by Amazon that can help you prepare your EPR registration applications, and obtain the LUCID registration numbers and the EEE registration numbers you need to prove your compliance to Amazon. To contact one of our vetted service providers, go to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Service Provider Network.

If you’re already registered for EPR German packaging (LUCID registration number), submit it on Seller Central. Amazon will keep you updated about when you can submit registration numbers for EEE for Germany.

For more information, go to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Education.

  1. I wonder if someone could dumb this down for me, please?
We sell items to Germany and France from the UK.
Most items will be dispatched in a padded envelope.
From reading the above, I need to register with a company, to gain a registration number, to input into amazon and any other marketplace that eventually ask for it.
I will then be charged – taxed based on the amount of padded envelopes / sales that I send out.

If no registration number then Amazon will suspend all my listings in Germany and eventually France.

Have I got this correct ??
The 1st July is fast approaching and want to be prepared.

  2. -Just had a call from avaskgroup.com.
    – They have “Clarified” that ANYONE that uses packaging to send items will have to pay or at least have a registration number to stick in to amazon.
    – She did say it is a bit of a mess with what’s being told to customers with the categories as it appears that if you SELL packaging you have to register, when she said it’s if you send using packaging, which of course EVERYONE does.

  3. -Just spoke to ebay about this and explained everything.
    – They have advised that the packaging refers to the category and not to whether you USE packaging.
    – As far as they are concerned if you list in one of the affected categories, then you will have to jump through the extra hoops, but not in most categories.
    – I am sure it will extend to EVERYTHING in time, but I am not spending thousands of pounds a year until I have to!
