Huboo are a business that has undoubtedly been in the right place at the right time. Huboo enables online retailers of all sizes to access a complete end-to-end fulfilment operation within minutes to speed up their processes. As one of the UK’s fastest growing fulfilment technology providers, the Huboo head count has grown 341 in the past 12 months as it becomes a hub for regional talent.

Recent months have seen a boom for the firm, as year-on-year revenue increased by a staggering 124% between January 2021 and January 2022. In addition, warehouse space increased from 154,200 sq ft to 262,400 sq ft over the past 12 months, representing an increase of  70%. Meanwhile, an average of more than 50 new customers were onboarded each month.

Growth at the Bristol-based business comes as it recently announced a first-of-its-kind partnership deal with regional sporting giant Bristol Sport, while setting out expansion plans for wider Europe after launching in Spain and the Netherlands last year.

Roles at Huboo were predominantly filled by Hub Managers, with other roles including Quality Assurance Testers, Software Developers and Web Developers. They take the Huboo head count from 257 people in February 2021 to a current total of 598 employees, which represents a headcount increase of 133% in just one year.

To make room for all its new hires, Huboo recently acquired the lease for Gilbert House, the building next door to its current Corn Street HQ, with plans to house its Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, HR & Recruitment and Operations Excellence functions there as of this month.

Huboo’s head office provides a collaborative hub which is a fun and inviting place to work. A triumph in planning and design, it boasts a dedicated breakout space, giant screen, climbing wall, pool table, bar, an events area and a mini studio for its very own in-house radio station. It also has stunning views of Bristol’s gothic skyline from its rooftop balcony and top floor C-suite offices.

Our headcount increase over the past year is an illustration of our rapid growth. One of our main aims at Huboo is to nurture and support the best regional talent, which is why we want our offices to be inspiring and inviting, all while offering the best opportunities for our employees to thrive.

– Martin Bysh, Co-founder and CEO, Huboo’

We believe that our core business values help us to maintain a healthy balance of fun and productivity. At Huboo, two of our main values are ambition and focus. Everything that we do across the company is geared towards these, which has allowed us to quickly grow a strong team that is aligned with our goals.

For us, this is particularly prevalent as national Covid protocols are lifted and people return to the office, perhaps with some trepidation, after two years of remote working. If we can create a safe space for people to come to and do their job to the utmost of their ability, then we know that we’re doing our best to support post-pandemic economic recovery.
