It looks like Parcelforce are to slash online prices from the 4th of April. Good news if you are a retail customer and buy your carriage online (contract customers will have rates set for their account).
As an example, here are the starting prices for UK guaranteed services for delivery options of Next Day, Two-Day and AM (pre-noon):
- Next-day starting from £8.40 for items up to 5kg
- Two-day starting from £8.00 for items up to 5kg
- AM starting from £17.54 for items up to 5kg
Previously, the lowest Next-day or Two-day rates were not only significantly higher, but also had weight bands of 2kg (£16.68 and £12.12 respectively) before hitting the 5kg band (£17.70 and £13.14). The 15kg and 25kg bands have also gone so the new simpler tariff is for 5kg, 10kg, 20kg and 30kg.
Parcelforce International pricing will also be changing so if you’ve got parcels to send make sure that you check out the prices as they will be more favourable compared to some of their sister company Royal Mail’s pricing and more competitive compared to other carriers.
