Etsy announce Reporting Portal for sellers

Etsy have announced a new way for sellers to protect their brands on the platform. Etsy’s Reporting Portal is another way that the platform are helping to keep the marketplace safe for buyers and sellers.

Although it is unfortunate, Etsy sellers can sometimes find themselves running into copycat shops on the platform and at times knowing how or where to find support could be confusing. Now Etsy are making it easier to register your brand and report listings that you suspect may violate your intellectual property rights.

According to the community announcment the tool helps you register and protect your brand in five steps, then view all of your intellectual properties and reports in one place. You can use keywords to search millions of listings, then browse, compile, and report any suspected infringing listings to Etsy’s dedicated team. And once reported, Etsy’s Trust & Safety team will review and take action if necessary, and inform you of the result.

Brands that don’t currently sell on Etsy will also be using the portal, helping Etsy remove listings that violate brand rights and don’t meet their policies.

You can go to the Etsy Reporting Portal to register and start using the new tool and if you need more information on intellectual property you can check out Etsy’s Ultimate Guide to Intellectual Property.
