Secret Sales launches in Belgium and The Netherlands

No primary category set

UK based Secret Sales have announced the first stage of their European marketplace rollout. The company plans to launch in 12 other European markets within the next two years.

Initially, The secretsales.nl and secretsales.be sites will be launching with 450 international and regional fashion brands and right now both sites total €700m of inventory. The platform will be fully localised to customers in both new countries and this means customers can browse the site in their own language and use local payment methods without additional import duties. Free shipping, a return period of 60 days and items up to 70% off are all offered to buyers.

Secret Sales is a completely fresh take on the non full price experience, from the look and feel of the site to the shopping journey and delivery. Categories are curated to feature complementary product and brand adjacencies, and orders are shipped from the brand or retailer’s warehouse directly to the consumer, so carbon footprint is reduced.

– Tom Kelly, head of the Netherlands and Belgium, Secret Sales

Brands and retailers can connect their supply chain and inventory systems to Secret Sales digitally, enabling fashion, beauty and homewares brands and retailers to manage stock more efficiently. Brands and retailers will also benefit from teams in both countries to assist with getting set up and settled on the platform.

Secret Sales provides a sustainable route for brands to sell non full price stock, and the wider theme of responsible retailing resonates well with consumers in the Netherlands and Belgium. The two territories are a natural fit for our first phase of expansion in Europe. Our marketplace is addressing universal challenges the retail industry faces and offers a long-term, clean and profitable solution. We are creating a new culture around non full price inventory.
