TikTok are launching a new educational program called CAP University, designed for Creative Agencies who want to become TikTok experts and learn the ins and outs of marketing on the platform.
TikTok helps facilitate creativity and joy for users, brands, and creators and having a better understanding of how to plan and concept specifically for the platform is key. As explained in their announcment, most TikTok users understand the value of combining advertising, entertainment, and commerce. But one question remains for those who want to utilize the platform to its fullest: Where to begin? Introducing CAP University, a curriculum that will teach you everything you need to know to get started on TikTok—without the midterms or tuition.
The goal of CAP University is to inspire next-level creative content on the world’s fastest-growing entertainment platform. After completing the program, enrollees will be able to lead conversations with their clients, concept and create for the platform, and continue driving their clients’ business forward. Most importantly, enrollees will have a newfound understanding of the creative possibilities on and off the platform.
The first semester at CAP University:
- TikTok 101. This lesson is packed with foundational statistics and data that all creative agencies should be familiar with to lead their clients with confidence and authority.
- TikTok: From Briefing to Pitching. From Briefing to Pitching will explain how to think about and communicate ideas made specifically for the platform.
- Concepting and Creating for TikTok. This course takes all the trends, patterns, and learnings from the past year and distills them down to platform best practices to inform concepting and creating.
- Trends and Music Licensing. This class will dissect the anatomy of a trend, explain how to lean into these trends, and how to respond to them with agility. This class will also answer our most commonly asked questions about music licensing.
- Collaborating with Creators. This course will teach the basics of working with creators and highlight TikTok’s native tool, the TikTok Creator Marketplace.
