The April Alibaba B2B Pulse reveals that small businesses are making sustainability a top priority. As going green and reducing carbon footprints continue to gain popularity, small businesses are creating business models and products that support the demand. In fact:
- The Renewable Energy category has been one of the fastest-growing categories on Alibaba.com in 2022, with an average 19% month-over-month (MoM) growth in daily global demand between January–April 2022.
- Within the category, the top subcategories of products with the highest month-over-month growth in global search volume are:
- Lithium battery (48% MoM growth since January 2022)
- Energy storage battery (19%)
- Wind turbine (16%)
