Amazon wins the Retail Week Attentive Consumer Award

For the fifth consecutive year, Amazon have bagged the Retail Week Attentive Consumer Award as decided by customers who vote them as their favourite UK retailer.

For 27 years, the Retail Week Awards have celebrated the creativity, innovation and excellence of the UK retail industry. The awards celebrate a variety of individuals, from boardroom leaders and digital stars, to store managers.

Customer obsession is one of four core principles that guide Amazon in delivering on their mission. This means that when innovating and building on their behalf, Amazon always start with he customer and work backwards.

Customer obsession is also the first of Amazon’s Leadership Principles, which define their inclusive, meritocratic working culture. The marketplace uses Leadership Principles every day, whether discussing ideas for new projects or solving problems. In that way, customer obsession drives ambition to constantly improve The Amazon customers’ experience.

Winning the Attentive Consumer Award follows a series of successful months for Amazon and their employees in the fields of representation and service. The LGBTQ+ affinity group, Glamazon, was recently named as one of the world’s top ten LGBT networksAmazon’s Future Engineer programme won Charity Partnership Award at the Business Charity Awards; and AWS’s ID&E Customer Engagement Lead, Tolu Oke, was named the winner of the Women in IT award.
