Today the UK-based online marketplace has announced the appointment of Julian Browne, as Chief Technology Officer to drive the campaign forward at pace.
Exciting technological plans
Before we read more about Julian, the big interest has to be the teaser of exciting technological plans. Yes there’s the hint of improvements and new integrations, but there is one thing we’d love to see from OnBuy and that’s a mobile app.
While OnBuy have done a spectacular job of growing sales from zero to become a significant marketplace player, I firmly believe consumers who download an OnBuy app would become even more loyal customers and spend more on OnBuy. If there’s one development I’d like to see an OnBuy shopping app would be what I’m wished for.
Julian Browne
After 30 years of leading tech and product teams to success, Julian is as experienced as they come. As CTO for private equity backed scale-up, Comparison Technologies, Head of Engineering at Hive, and Chief Architect at O2, he proved his expertise in implementing agility, digital and cultural transformations.
Prior to these roles, Julian has held many senior positions spanning the tech industry, all of which have benefitted from his deep technical knowledge, creativity and vision.
