Pinterest launches Idea ads

Pinterest have announced a new way for brands to create advertisements on the platform; Idea ads and Idea ads with paid partnership. Additionally Pinterest are launching a new paid partnership tool for creators, which allows them to easily tag their brand partners in their content.

Idea ads are an immersive, multi-page format designed for advertisers to showcase ideas in action. Shoppers can visit the brand’s website, get step-by-step breakdowns, view ingredients lists and materials, and so much more. Through video and image content, Idea ads offer advertisers a creative canvas to share all of the inspiration and information needed to turn inspiration into realization.

Social media has huge potential to build bridges for brands that direct new customers to their products. Realising this means that platforms are making improvements to their offerings. Earlier in the year Pinterest first launched Idea Pins as a way for users to spread their content even further reaching new audiences on and off Pinterest. Idea ads takes this a step further and offers a way for advertisers to showcase ideas in action.

With Idea ads with paid partnerships, brands can partner with Pinterest users to tell their story authentically and creatively. Businesses can collaborate with creators and produce immersive, interactive branded content that can be promoted to a wider audience.
