OnBuy have today announced the appointment of their new Marketing Director Cherie Cook who will lead the platforms marketing team to drive the development of their brand, improve customer experience, and to create an overarching brand proposition, helping OnBuy to become the next household name.
OnBuy have been making a lot of interesting decisions as they continue to grow as a significant marketplace player and it will be fascinating to see how their brand grows further following this new appointment. Cherie will be leading large-scale marketing campaigns for OnBuy in 2023, pushing the brand to reach millions more customers and showcase our proposition of being the marketplace that doesn’t compete with brands and retailers and rewards customers for their loyalty.
As a true marketing visionary and a leader of AO’s fantastic marketing to date, Cherie has been there and got the t-shirt! She was the best candidate for OnBuy to fuel our next wave of growth. She’s a forward-thinker with a ‘get it done’ approach – qualities needed to move at the scale we expect.
– Cas Paton, Founder and CEO of OnBuy
Previously Cherie held positions at Thomas Cook, Bupa and most recently AO, where she led the marketing team to run multi-million-pound campaigns helping the business to grow threefold.
OnBuy are on a mission to reimagine how we shop online. In a few short years they’ve achieved well-documented success, gained support from huge brands and millions of shoppers. I’ve experienced first-hand what is possible when you truly put customers at the heart of all that you do, so I’m excited to be part of the team that will write the next chapter of the OnBuy story.
– Cherie Cook, Marketing Director, OnBuy
Due to its continued growth, as recognised by the FT1000 fastest growing companies in Europe listing, OnBuy has executed a business-wide recruitment drive, seeing a series of important hires. Last month the company welcomed Julian Browne, as Chief Technology Officer and today Cherie becomes the most recent hire who will be followed by more, as the company continues to scale.
