Love Island’s Tasha eBay Pre-Loved Ambassador

No primary category set

eBay UK and Love Islander and style icon, Tasha Ghouri, have today signed the first non-fast fashion brand partnership to come out of the cult TV series, in a continued aim to change the way we shop for clothes. eBay has seen one pre-loved fashion sale every second so far in 2022 and provided Islanders with pre-loved fashion for the first time ever this summer, have now announced Tasha Ghouri, as their first ever Pre-Loved Ambassador.

Continuing in its mission to change the way we shop for clothes and putting secondhand fashion centre stage, the collaboration is a natural next step for eBay, after the model and dancer was quickly dubbed this year’s fashion style icon, providing us with a master class in pre-loved styling each night.

We’re hearing that since the eBay pre-loved fashion partnership with Love Island became public, there has been considerable interest from large retail partners wanting to sell on the site. Having Tasha as their Pre-Loved Ambassador will only increase consumer interest and that will drive sales for pre-loved fashion on eBay with an inevitable overspill into all categories across the marketplace.

Expect to hear a lot more from Tasha as she embraces her new role – if you’re listing pre loved fashion, she might even be buying from you next!

Taking to her social media, the 24-year-old revealed the fashion collaboration in an Instagram post, commenting it was a “dream come true”.

Prior to going into Love Island I have always purchased secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with eBay really is a dream come true. I feel really passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and so I’m excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre. Plus I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality!

And it’s Tasha’s natural flair for fashion and strong personal style that first caught the eye of eBay’s Love Island stylist, Amy Bannerman all those weeks ago.

Mixing high street with high fashion, from vintage Versace to glamorous micro dresses, blending the idea of gendered dressing with oversized men’s bomber jackets and stunning in looks that wouldn’t be out of place on the runway, not only did she capture hearts but turned heads with her effortless sense of style.

The collaboration between eBay and Tasha may come as a surprise for some, after viewers speculated whether Islanders might strike up deals with fast fashion brands. In a first ever, the partnership with eBay will see Tasha promoting a responsible and conscious way of shopping that can help both wallets and the planet.

Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve seen Islander’s embrace pre-loved for the first time ever on mainstream TV, showing that simple additions or swaps to outfits can make all the difference – in so many ways.

Tasha has been a game-changer and her eye for style is undeniable. She is a fantastic role model for what fashion of the future looks like and we look forward to bringing Tasha’s vision and style to life as our partnership continues.
