Royal Mail have reminded business customers about some changes to their terms and conditions and separately written to inform them of Royal Mail international price changes coming into effect from the 3rd of January.

Royal Mail International Price Rises

Changes to the Royal Mail International Price tariff which will come into effect on the 3rd of January 2023 have been pre-announced. However they have not yet published what the new rates might be and are due to do so at 9am on the 2nd of December at royalmail.com/prices2023.

In fairness, the Royal Mail International price rises have been pre-announced as ‘changes’ and it’s us that are assuming that it will be international price rises rather than decreases…. watch this space.

Removal of Special Delivery Guaranteed Saturday fee

From the 29th of October 2022, Royal Mail removed the fee for Special Delivery Saturday Guaranteed for customers paying on account. For account customers, items posted on a Friday will be guaranteed for delivery by 9am or by 1pm on a Saturday, depending upon the service chosen, with no additional fee required. Existing geographic restrictions apply.

Special Delivery Guaranteed now available for Sunday delivery

From 30 October 2022, account customers posting items on a Saturday with Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed will be able to select guaranteed next day delivery on a Sunday.

Update to General Terms and Conditions

From the 3rd of January 2023, Royal Mail are updating their General Terms and Conditions to allow them to end your agreement with them if you have not made any postings for a period of at least 3 months. At the same time, they will be updating their General Terms and Conditions to allow them to suspend your use of any individual products which you have not used for at least 3 months and, where appropriate, amend the price of those products should they agree to re-instate them.

Withdrawal of parcel formats for Publishing Mail and Advertising Mail products

Parcel formats will be withdrawn from the Publishing Mail and Advertising Mail products with effect from the 3rd of April 2023. Royal Mail will directly contact impacted customers to assist migrating to alternative products.
