Amazon know that EU compliance requirements in the European Union and UK can be overwhelming and complex. So, to make it simpler, they have gathered some of the key requirements to make it less complicated. Today we focus on EU Compliance Requirements when on Amazon.de in Germany.
Electrical and Electronic Equipment, WEEE
Am I impacted? Yes, if you sell electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) on Amazon.de.
What should I do to prove my compliance to Amazon? Submit either your registration number (WEEE-Reg.-Nr.) or the WEEE-Reg.-Nr. of the producer in your supply chain to Amazon for all brand and type of equipment combinations listed on the Compliance Portal.
What is the deadline? 30th of June 2023.
What are the consequences of non-compliance? Non-compliant listings will be deactivated starting on the 1st of July 2023 if your WEEE-Reg.-Nr. is not submitted and validated before this date. Validation may take at least 5 business days

Packaging
Am I impacted? Yes, if you sell packaged goods on Amazon.de.
What should I do to prove my compliance to Amazon? Submit your LUCID number to Amazon on the Compliance Portal.
What is the deadline? The legislation has been in effect since the 1st of July 2022.
What are the consequences of non-compliance? Your non-compliant listings will be deactivated.
What should I do if my listings have been deactivated? Fix your product on Seller Central to start the reactivation process.
