Royal Mail International Tracked update

Royal Mail International post International Tracked update untracked export services

Following their cyber incident, Royal Mail started despatching standard export letters on the 18th of January and International Tracked & Signed and International Signed letters and parcels since the 26th of January. Today, in an International Tracked update, they have announced a partial resumption of service for International Tracked services to all destinations.

We continue to make progress in exporting an increasing number of items to a growing number of international destinations, using alternative solutions and systems not affected by the recent cyber incident.

Our focus has been on despatching the export parcels and letters which were in our network before the cyber incident.

International Tracked Update

Currently, International Tracked services to all destinations are available for business customers and consumers buying postage through Royal Mail online shipping systems. However you can’t yet purchase at all Post Offices although Royal Mail say that they are working hard to resume Post Office services.

However, you can use your Post Office as a drop point if you purchase postage online.

Royal Mail continue to ask customers not to submit any untracked export parcels (International Standard) into their network for the time being.

At this time, Royal Mail export services available through Post Office branches are:

  • Sending export parcels through Parcelforce Worldwide
  • Dropping off items they have labelled online, and
  • Purchasing Royal Mail International standard and economy letter format service.

Be aware, that we’ve heard most Post Offices haven’t been accepting parcels or letters for which a custom declaration is required. It might be a safer bet to drop at a Delivery Office or Parcel Post Box if you want to risk sending Royal Mail International services at the moment.

We’re sorry for the disruption this incident is causing impacted customers. Our teams are continuing to work around the clock to reinstate the remaining export services for letters and parcels as quickly as we can.

  1. How can I send a tracked parcel to the USA. To someone’s actual address? My address (sending from) N8 7RN.

  2. Thompson has halved the share price in the last year. What are RM shareholders thinking? Get rid of him and this ludicrous incompetent board whose only focus is on waging war with their workforce.

  3. Quote .. “We’re sorry for the disruption this incident is causing impacted customers. Our teams are continuing to work around the clock” – bull. My parcel has sat at Milton Keynes for exactly one month now. International tracked services are meant to have been restored. No wonder the Royal Mail is losing customers hand over fist . Their service sucks and the garbage they put on their website about resumed services and ‘slight delays’ is just insulting.

  4. My parcel was posted on 5dec 22 it went to Langley on the 24 Dec then went to Milton Keynes on 2 Feb and not moved since is this because my parcel was family xmas gifts to them in America
